Day 5 Week 2

Day Number: Twelve

Energy Level: Ugh

How I feel before: n/a

Notes: I knew there was a reason I ran in the morning instead of the evening! I am soo sore today. It’s one thing to run in the morning and keep the muscles warm throughout the day so they cool down naturally. It’s a totally different thing to run in the evening and not be able to move in the morning. I’ll run tomorrow.

Day 4 Week 2

Day Number: Eleven

Date: October 12, 2009

Energy Level: Pretty good

How I feel before: Indigestion!

How I feel after: Pretty good

Notes: Thank heaven for the Wii Fit, because, by the time that the indigestion went away, it was dark outside, so I used the Wii Fit to run. I sometimes forget how well the Wii Fit works a person out. It’s good to run with a partner, even if that partner is an AI created by the machine. Holy cow, I’m sweating more than I usually do when running outside.

Day 3 Week 2

Day Number: Ten

Date: October 11, 2009

Energy Level: Igh

How I feel before: n/a

How I feel after: n/a

Notes: Went to bed last night with a migraine and it carried over to today. My head really hurts and I’ll run on indigestion, but not with a headache.

I went back to bed when my son let me and slept a good portion of the day. The headache kept up, so I didn’t run today, but I will tomorrow, if my headache is better.

Day 2 Week 2

Day Number: Nine

Date: October 10, 2009

Energy Level: Good

How I feel before: Tired

How I feel after: pretty good

Notes: I ran faster and walked today, but I felt really good. My lungs hurt today, but I wasn’t sore at all.

Day 1 Week 2

Day Number: Eight

Date: October 9, 2009

Energy Level: Not bad, still exhausted, but not terrible

How I feel before: Like not getting out of bed.

How I feel after: Wooo hooo! I hurt and am all sweaty and tired, but I mentally feel good.

Notes: Is it possible to walk faster than I run? Seriously, I think I could have walked the route faster, but on a high note, I ran the entire .7 mile instead of stopping and walking. My lungs hurt and my legs are Jello, but I am totally proud of myself. I will take week 2 pictures tomorrow.

Day 7 Week 1

Day Number: Seven

Date: October 8, 2009

Energy Level: None

How I feel before: n/a

How I feel after: n/a

Notes: I didn’t run today. After two days of three to four hours of sleep, I awoke at seven a.m. and decided that it was my day off and I would get errands run a little later in the day and that I would run tomorrow instead. I did, however, run a ton of errands and went to bed exhausted.

Day 6 Week 1

Day Number: Six

Date: October 7, 2009

Energy Level: Tired, but not because of the running.

How I feel before: I have indigestion and have only had four hours sleep.

How I feel after: Bleep! Holy bleep! Ouch! Never run on indigestion! Stomach cramps just about killed me for a few minutes.

Notes: For not thinking I was even going to run today, I did really well. I ran farther and faster and walked for shorter distances before today. I feel really good about that, and once the stomach cramps stopped, I felt much better.

Day 5 Week 1

Day Number: Five

Date: October 6, 2009

Energy Level: Low

How I feel before: Had a difficult time getting motivated today.

How I feel after: Not bad, tired.

Notes: I sure hope this gets easier. I ran for longer, walked for less, but it wasn’t easy. I know that when it gets easier, I will need to challenge myself more, but the motivation still isn’t there.

Day 4 Week 1

Day Number: Four

Date: October 5, 2009

Energy Level: Pretty good

How I feel before: N/A

How I feel after: N/A

Notes: Today is my day off from running. The plan is to run three days and then take one day off, three days on again, et cetera. Walked around a bit, but not feeling altogether well. I’m hoping that, as I go along, I’ll feel better. I’m already feeling more energy, which is definitely a plus. I don’t feel sore, but I am making sure to stretch thoroughly every day.

Day 3 Week 1

Day Number: Three

Date: October 4, 2009

Energy Level: Okay

How I feel before: Not feeling so well today. I’m not too sore, I just don’t feel all that terrific.

How I feel after: Tired, but good.

Notes: Started off this morning not feeling well. I sat for a bit before I went on my run. I’m still trying to develop a pace. I went too fast today and walked three times. However, when I got home, I felt like going back out again, so I walked half the distance and turned around. Before I start running more than just a couple miles, I need to buy a better pair of shoes. These will work for now, but I know I’ll need better shoes later. I got home and slept for another two hours. Now, I feel really lazy. It could be because of the rain or just because I don’t feel like doing anything.
