Notes: Not only did I not wake up in time to go for a run, I didn’t get home from work in time to go for a run.

Day 4 Week 3

Day Number: Eighteen

Energy Level: Okay

How I feel before: n/a

Notes: Today was my day off from running. I almost felt like getting up and running anyway, but I will run tomorrow.

Day 3 Week 3

Day Number: Seventeen

Date: October 18, 2009

Energy Level: Good

How I feel before: Don’t feel like running today.

How I feel after: I need to be able to breathe without coughing.

Notes: I didn’t feel like running today and procrastinated on it until about 2 p.m. I didn’t have much of a running rhythm and it was rather hard to get going today. I feel like I looked like one of those people it’s painful to watch, but I can say I ran it and I ran the whole way, so I suppose I have nothing to complain about.

Day 2 Week 3

Day Number: Sixteen

How I feel before: I feel optimistic today.

How I feel after: Not so optimistic.

Notes: I tried running today, but my joints were just not cooperating. It was a very brisk morning, so I went for a very brisk walk, farther than I would run and I was getting a bit cold, but at least I did something.

Notes: It was raining this morning, so I was not able to run. Oh well, I suppose this can be a day off from running.

Day 7 Week 2

Day Number: Fourteen

Date: October 15, 2009

Energy Level: Not bad

How I feel before: The motivation to stay in bed was outweighing the motivation to run.

How I feel after: Good. Rather proud of myself

Notes: Never underestimate the body’s ability to surprise you. I was motivated more to stay in bed today. It took me two hours to get out of a nice, comfortable bed. When I did, though, I ran for longer, probably about a quarter mile, walked less and found somewhat of a pace. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and happy.

Day 6 Week 2

Day Number: Thirteen

How I feel before: Still sore

How I feel after: pretty good.

Notes: I was still sore two days after the Wii Fit, so it was a challenge to get going, but I ran and walked today. I did pretty well, too.

Day 5 Week 2

Day Number: Twelve

Energy Level: Ugh

How I feel before: n/a

How I feel after: n/a

Notes: I knew there was a reason I ran in the morning instead of the evening! I am soo sore today. It’s one thing to run in the morning and keep the muscles warm throughout the day so they cool down naturally. It’s a totally different thing to run in the evening and not be able to move in the morning. I’ll run tomorrow.

Day 4 Week 2

Energy Level: Pretty good

How I feel before: Indigestion!

How I feel after: Pretty good

Notes: Thank heaven for the Wii Fit, because, by the time that the indigestion went away, it was dark outside, so I used the Wii Fit to run. I sometimes forget how well the Wii Fit works a person out. It’s good to run with a partner, even if that partner is an AI created by the machine. Holy cow, I’m sweating more than I usually do when running outside.

Day 3 Week 2

Day Number: Ten

Date: October 11, 2009

Energy Level: Igh

How I feel before: n/a

How I feel after: n/a

Notes: Went to bed last night with a migraine and it carried over to today. My head really hurts and I’ll run on indigestion, but not with a headache.

I went back to bed when my son let me and slept a good portion of the day. The headache kept up, so I didn’t run today, but I will tomorrow, if my headache is better.
